An exciting competition for fashion designers

The Fashion TV Steinhoff Summer Cup Young Designer Competition offers up-and-coming designers the opportunity to gain recognition and win R10 000 cash, a Fashion Spread in CLEO as well as a trip on the FTV Yacht will take place during November 2008 at Fashion TV Sandton.

The THEME is MY GOLDEN SUMMER

The initial judging for is done from storyboards submitted by the designers. You can either email it or post it.

Importantly, the competition is open to all keen designers, from unschooled to established designers, from Johannesburg.

The storyboard must include a detailed illustration of your design, technical drawings, trims and fabric swatches fitting in with the theme “My Golden Summer”

Between 15 and 20 finalists will be selected to showcase their garments based on their submitted storyboards and will feature at Fashion TV Sandton where a panel of judges will select the overall winner, which will only be announced on race day.

Anyone interested in entering should submit a storyboard to marketing@ftv.co.za or post it to 118 Sandton Drive, Sandton 2146 before 10 NOVEMBER 2008

The successful finalists will be notified by telephone soon after the closing date.
