Celebrity brides    (a tribute)                                                 -by Simon Rademan

Future Royal Celebrity Bride:   Zara Phillips

Zara Phillips married Mike Tindall

their wedding took place on July 30, 2011, at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh.

The 30-year-old Zara Phillips wore a dress by Edinburgh-trained designer - one of her grandmother, Queen’ Elizabeth's favourite couturiers - Stewart Parvin, on her wedding day - a simple ivory dress  which featured a short train, wich was teamed with a beautiful silk veil.

The gown was modern and chic, because Zara did not want a high-fashion dress similar to Kate Middleton’s design.

The dress is an ivory silk faille and silk duchess satin gown with a chevron pleated bodice ending in dramatic inverted pleats on a dropped waist, creating a bell-shaped silhouette.

The gown has a concealed structured corset, and silk tulle straps fall into a V at the centre back of the gown. The bust is in silk duchess satin, with bias-cut raw edged ribbons of top-stitched silk faille and duchess satin decorating the neckline and empire seam. The full skirt has concealed pockets, a band of silk duchess satin at the hem and a subtle train. Delicate fabric covered buttons decorate the centre back of the gown, falling from the neckline to the hem.

Celebrity weddings (and wedding gowns) that have inspired!

...and continue to inspire... Be it expensive, OTT, long lasting, or cheap and quick...  We have been entertained by celebrity weddings for as long as we can remember.  They inspire us ...and sometimes disgust us, but boy, they sure can be original!

It remains up to the individual to live their dream.

Bridal fashion has always been here.  It is yours … IF you want it!
